mossence is made by our team in Alfena, just outside Porto. Every piece is cut, placed and finished by hand, by people who have worked with preserved moss for years.

Our team has been making moss pictures and moss walls since 2018, for many years also for styleGREEN. Today we work under our own brand: mossence. mossence is an independent brand and is not affiliated with styleGREEN or its owner.

Real hands, real moss.

Behind mossence is a small team of florists and craftspeople in Alfena near Porto. We have been working with preserved moss and plants for many years, and it shows in every detail.

How a piece is made

Every moss picture goes through the same four steps at our workbenches near Porto.

Lay the base

Flat moss is pressed onto the backing, piece by piece.

Set the cushions

Each pole moss cushion is glued and placed by hand.

Add plants

Preserved ferns and leaves bring depth.

Finish and check

Edges trimmed, every piece checked before packing.

Our mosses

Real moss, preserved so it stays soft and keeps its colour. Each greening has its own character.

Pole moss

Soft round cushions, bright green.

Flat moss

Dense and velvety, a deeper green.

Reindeer moss

Curly and airy, spring green.

Mixed

Flat moss base with pole-moss accents.

Plants & hydrangea

Preserved leaves, ferns and grasses, optionally with hydrangea blooms.

Real moss, zero care

Preserved moss doesn't need water, soil or sunlight. A few simple rules keep it beautiful for a long time.
